Road to Ironman Lake Placid 2015

On March 6th I made a huge decision. That decision was to sign up to race Ironman Lake Placid for the Team for Cures, raising money for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation. This page is dedicated to the journey facing me in the coming months.

What is Ironman? For those of you not familiar with the term let me explain it. To be an “Ironman” you must swim 2.4 miles, bike 112 miles and run 26.2 miles, all within 17 hours. It is both a mental and physical feat of strength, but worth it to cross that finish line knowing what has been accomplished. It takes months of dedication, hours of training and many sacrifices. But I feel it will be worth it when I can raise money to help those who are unable to race due to cancer.

If you want to support a great cause please consider making a donation to the MMRF. They are a great cancer research organization. You can make a donation on my personal page, here.
